Several members of Project Nourish have been involved in supporting various missionary organizations in different countries, including Haiti, Honduras, and Brazil for many decades. As a result of working in these less fortunate areas, we have been blessed in growing many friendships.
After the Earthquake struck in Haiti in January 2010, Karl Vanderhoof, co-founder of Project Nourish, was contacted by a Haitian friend who asked for help in bringing aid to the mountain village of Cabois. Due to the remoteness of the village, outside support was limited.
We sent a team to Haiti to investigate the situation in June of 2010 and following that trip, we decided it was time to start Project Nourish, with the goal of nourishing the spirit, soul, and body of individuals in impoverished communities throughout the world.
Currently our work is focused in the country of Haiti. We are striving to make our vision, “A healthy world, devoid of poverty, where families thrive”, a reality in Cabois, Haiti.
